Have you had your Fif*** Minutes of Fame?

Off-line racing for Nascar2 is here.

The FAME15 software will validate your racing envirionment
and setup the options to insure all entries are running under
the same conditions.

The actual racing is run as a solo event (no AI) to remove
AI randomness, and quirks.  After your race concludes the
software obtains your times for EACH lap.  The resulting
file can be emailed to the race coordinator.

The scoring software will take the entries and recreate a
virtual race between all the qualifing entries.  This allows
for a scoring system that properly includes Lap Lead, and
Most Laps Lead bonus points.

All 28 races on the standard calendar will be included so you
can not only compete in one race, but in a season as well.

There are three race distances (25%, 50%, 100%) as well as
three divisions (Novice, Rookie, Pro) so you can find a skill
level that suits you.

The difference between divisions is damage and weather settings.

You can submit an entry into any division, and distance and
submit to improve your standings.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I certainly am not interested in racing
50 or 100% all by myself!!!  The computer cars keep it exciting in off-line
racing.....

The problem with the AI as I see it:

It is as if the AI has different Car setup rules.
They slow down more that we need to going into corners.
Ok maybe that's a driving style difference.

The physics are different for the AI cars.
I've seen some moves are a simply impossible with the
car that I drive.  Slide to the outside, then SNAP back to
   the original line.

I haven't raced Hawaii, but alot of Head 2 Head so I know
that following a human into a corner is usually much cleaner
then the AI.

When following a Human, you can keep your eyes on the track more
because thier car's abilities are MUCH closer to yours.

I'll try it on the 25% division.

Weather and damage on.
