ignored.
However, like most humans, I seek some form of shelter from the indignities
and inhumanities I witness.
The main reason I build my own computers is to get the best rig I can so I
may sim race better. I upgrade when it seems practical, and I rely on many
sources for my information before I choose a path.
In the past, RAS has been one of those sources. But lately, like so many
other news groups, RAS has been diluted with off topic ranting, mud slinging
etc. I like to read this newsgroup daily, to check up on the sim world in
general, and to forget the real world for a while.
It's hard to do when the real world is so prolific in this newsgroup. I
re-read the RAS charter, and it clearly states that posting topics other
than sim related items is forbidden.
I am not insensitive to these issues, however, there is a more appropriate
forum for non-sim
discussions. I would be very disappointed if I found myself feeling that
RAS is no longer the pure pool of sim knowledge it used to be, and has
become a muddy bucket of chaotic chatter.
Please do not let focus of this newsgroup get away from us.
