I have only run the demo, but you probably will have to create a
profile in the logitech software for your wheel and the thunder .exe. 2
profiles if you have a nocd.exe. IT sounds like your wheel has a setting
that is maxxed out in the center range and lessened for the far extents
(extants?)
First in the game set all your steering and pedal axis to 50%
For the Force Feedback setting choose NEGATIVE numbers from the
slider.
(this is for LOGITECH owners only) So instead of 100% choose, -100%.
Try reducing the FF settings until the notchiness goes away..again..
somewhere around -80 or -90% or even closer to zero, your preference.
For a slight mechanical understeer move the steering slider just below
the 50% setting, your testing will reveal a comfort zone.
If you want some oversteer built into your kit, then move the steering
slider to above 50%. Don't make big changes. Move it in small
increments and drive it till it feels natural to you.
In the logitch profiler, again, set the steering and brake sliders to
approximentally 50%. The farther from the center, the more the Linearity
setting changes. So if you used 100% Linearity in Papyrus sims, you need
to place your wheel axis and pedals at 50%. To much in one direction and
the wheel becomes oversensitive near the middle, meaning any tiny twitch
moves the wheel almost to full crank. Move the opposite direction and
the steering near the middle gets lazy, while the closer to full lock you
get, the more nervous the reaction. And point at least one version of
the profiler to the shortcut icon.(or, if that doesn't work, make sure it
uses the same target at the shortcut) It should be able to properly
start up then.
Good luck..
I can't verify this, but it comes from several years of ISI modd
experience.

I've never seen that, it may have something to do with your swap file.
Make it bigger. :) however, you should be able to create a profile and
it should work even without launching from within the profiler. I
routinely starte nr2k3nocd with a shortcut and my custom buttons/shifter
setup is always there. I do let the logitech stuff load at bootup but that
is about the only thing.

Thats the spam stopper...remove the biteme to get through.. :)
kinda like me...lean, mean...heheheheee well...
dh
you should try to add the spam stopper to the domain name
instead. Otherwise, the "prospective" spammer trying to send you
product information will be able to make a successful connection to
your ISP's mail servers, only to be told that daveBITEME is an unknown
user there.
If you fake your domain name, he / she won't even be able to make the
smtp connection and thus use a tiny bit less of your ISP's cpu time
and resources.
Not a biggie (I don't think much of faking addresses on USENET), but I
thought it might be of some interest to a tech-savy person like you!
All the best,
uwe
