HELP! PC Mad Catz Steeringwheel calibration problem

by bl » Fri, 19 Jul 1996 04:00:00

Hi everyone,

My brother bought a Mad Catz Wheel for the pc and has problems
calibrating the wheel with IC2 (and many others). He bought a special
'speed adjustable gamecard' for his computer (P75) but still the steer
won't calibrate correctly. The MadCatz is a true Analog wheel with 6
buttons and 2 pedals.

For example, if he starts to calibrate his steer with IC2 and pulls
his steer to the far left or right IC2 won't read the right position
(left x-axis will say -1). If he doesn't  pull his steer left/right
during calibration the steer will 'stay' in the middle but while
playing IC2 seems to forget it's calibration during the game.

Can anyone tell me if it's the steer that causes the problem, or has
everyone with a wheel  (T1/T2 etc) got the same difficulty calibrating
his steer with games?

Thanks in advance,

Johnny
