I have built a couple to my car simulator, one 12" and one 8" and they both
work good. But I have smoked one amplifier, because its very hard to tell
when you turn up the volume too much. :)
During the testing I had one of them on the desk and played some Quake2. I
felt almost as I had the guns in my hands, especially the shot gun and
machinegun. That was fun! But I had to move the computer to the floor to
avoid damaging the harddisk drive...
I had another link to a better site about DIY tactile transducers, but it is
unfortunately dead now. :(

There's a review of this VERY chair in this month's PC Gamer. Their
take: if you don't have $200 to throw away - stay away. The chair's a GREAT
idea, but the sound SUCKS! Plus, it's not NEARLY as comfortable as a $200
chair.
