Are there plans or kits for seat shaker like the ones at Hyper
Simulator http://www.racesimcentral.net/
right behind/below the seat?

Thanks,
Jerry

Here is a link to a DIY article about tactile transducers using drivers from
some old speakers:
http://www.sdinfo.com/volume_4_2/tactile.html

I have built a couple to my car simulator, one 12" and one 8" and they both
work good. But I have smoked one amplifier, because its very hard to tell
when you turn up the volume too much. :)

During the testing I had one of them on the desk and played some Quake2. I
felt almost as I had the guns in my hands, especially the shot gun and
machinegun. That was fun! But I had to move the computer to the floor to
avoid damaging the harddisk drive...

I had another link to a better site about DIY tactile transducers, but it is
unfortunately dead now. :(

If you want to read more about TT in general, try these sites:

I was at CompUSA last night and seen a real nifty computer chair there
with speakes built into it all over. It was conected to a computer
with some game demo going on. I sat in the seat and it was really neat
but I couldnt see spending $200 on some goofy computer chair. They
also had some kinda pad in a box next to it that you just place in
your own chair and it also had the speakers built in, if I remeber
correctly that thing was about $100.

There's a review of this VERY chair in this month's PC Gamer.  Their
take: if you don't have $200 to throw away - stay away.  The chair's a GREAT
idea, but the sound SUCKS!  Plus, it's not NEARLY as comfortable as a $200
chair.

The Aura Interactor back cushion is a very cheap option. Available from
Jaycar Electronics here in Australia. I have heard it is readily available
in other countries as well. Cheers, Andrew.

The easiest way is to force your younger brother to shake the chair
according to what happens on the screen and you elder brother to simulate
hard crashing :)

Cheers.

Make your own with a real racing seat from www.summitracing.com
and you can get bass shakers/Motion Transducers from:

http://www.rbhsound.com/virtual/virtual.htm

Just attach the things to the chair.
