Invulnerability.
b.. All cars will have equal physics.
c.. Race distance will typically be 25% (subject to change/debate)
d.. Fuel consumption and tyre wear will be set so that one pit stop will
be necessary per race at least (subject to change/debate)
e.. A points system will be rewarded like the current F1 season. If enough
people are interested, we will also have a Constructor's championship.
f.. IMPORTANT: Cars will be allowed to use the curbs, but not any area
beyond the curbs - i.e. if there are red/white curbs and a green 'sort-of'
curb beyond it - you may only use the clearly marked red/white curbs.
g.. Race stewards (currently only myself) will review the race after the
race has ended and will investigate any and all complains and incidents
during the race.
Details
a.. The server will initially be running on RH2003. This may switch to
CDTP depending on demand.
b.. There will be races at their respective tracks on every race weekend
on Saturday, at 0100h GMT (0100 London, 0900 Perth/Hong Kong, 1700h Friday
for California)
c.. There will be one half-hour practice session
d.. There will be a flying-lap qualifying session where cars will go out
on the racetrack one by one. This may last up to half an hour. This
qualifying session will be designed to mimic the one-shot qualifying in
Formula one, and will be conducted by the Race Steward (currently myself).
e.. There will be a race with the details listed in the "Rules" section
above.
Will anybody be interested? We need more drivers. The server test on
Saturday was very successful, and David Fisher beat me by more than a second
towards the end of the practice, but more than four seconds going
in...hehehe.
