UK buyers beware of Dabs Momo Force

I ordered a Momo 'Force' from Dabs last week, it arrived today and guess
what?  It's a Momo 'Racing'!  Dabs site has a picture and description of a
Momo 'Force'.

I'll let you know what happens if they ever respond to my email.

Has anyone else been sent the wrong wheel?  dabs don't even list the
'Racing'.

Its the same on www. ebuyer.com so I took it up with them as the part
number they quoted was for the cheaper wheel.

They said the descriptions etc came from Logitech or wholesalers, and
insisted their description was not confusing.  I thought it was, and
your experience with Dabs confirms it.

Later:  Since writing the above I have looked at the Dabs site, and it
gets even more complicated.  The picture is indeed the Momo Force
("image for illustrative purposes only"), but the manufacturer's part
number seems to be a mix of the two part numbers on the Logitech site:
Logitech Momo Force   963260-0120
Logitech Momo Racing 963282-0120
Dabs Momo Force   963262-0120 (should it be 60- or 82-   ?)

At least ebuyer.com got the part number right.

Confusing, isn't it?

Looking at www.savastore.com/products/?CsOp=15&code=10250079&pid=45&tid=8
they have the Force part number and are quoting 68.15!

I guess they have it wrong also, if not I'll get it from them.  The UK seems
to be a bit short on stockists for the Force, unless anyone knows better?

Good luck Mike

My experience with Dabs put them firmly on my 'only touch with a grenade'
list
I doubt things have changed but I never dealt with them again.

To be fair to Dabs this is the first problem I've had with them for quite a
while.  None of the online retailers are perfect, but Dabs are one of the
better ones IMO.  I reserve the right to change my mind in the near future.

I think the original MOMO Force is end of life. It's allready sold out in
Norway, so you better get it while you can.

Just looked, and they have the *Racing* part number and use the word
*Racing* in the description.  No free lunches I'm afraid :)

Mike,
They are all ok till you have a problem, that's when you find their true
worth

You're absolutely right, it was this

that had me thinking otherwise.

I received a Force from DABS on Tuesday.  It took about 3 weeks for
them to come up with it... but it definitely looks exactly like the
picture on their website :-)

Good, it seems like they have got their act together.  It took them over a
week to sort out the return and two weeks for the refund.  I got one direct
from Logitech while Dabs were messing about.

Very happy with it.  Dabs loss, the bits for my new PC came from elsewhere.
