This came to from Mike Lescault in response to my quastion about the definition
of an incident:
An incident is defined as any contact that occurs between 2 or more cars
that (with realistic damage on) would result in:
A) Serious damage for 1 or more cars(Damaged tire or more)
B) A spin for 1 or more cars (A car turns 90 degrees or more)
The above can occur with a single driver as well.
(ie, hitting the wall or spinning in a turn)
Incidents are counted in races with arcade damage and no damage.
It is based on what the results would be IF real damage was on.
All cars involved receive credit for the incident, regardless of who
may truly be at fault.
I hope this clears things up.
Mike
In short, anything that would cause a yellow flag, even in a race that yellow
flags or damage are turned off in.
