Qualifying-What's the Big Deal?

What's the big deal about qualifying?  Hell, I get close to those fast
times with my race setups, and my setups are consistant.  <except for
Rockingham, but that's a different story =)>  Anyways, the car I drive
<Pontiac> ain't that great of a qualifying car on N2, but when it comes to
the race....look out.  On N1, the car was REAL loose at the begining of a
run, and REAL tight at the end.  Thanks to GM for resigning the thing.  =)
 Don, I woulda sent something in earlier, but being 4 mph of the pace at
Darlington is kinda depressing.  <G>

N1 (and ICR1) had a traction bug, whereby positive cross-weight was
slowly jacked into the car under sustained left turns. That's fixed in
ICR2 and N2...

Made for some interesting setups, with people trying to hang onto an
unbearably loose car until the cross-weight came in...
