there (They had some great in-car shots, mainly because of not many

You can indeed - and there are not many rules apart from you must have
road-legal silencers on your vehicle. Just about anything else goes.

there are still Races hold at the Nordschleife, the 24hrs Endurance Race and
the Veedol-Langstreckenpokal, an Endurance Race Series with about 6 Races,
each about 500 km long. And at Eifel Klassik in September you can see 1930's
Mercedes SSK's screaming around the 'ring. This is absolutely incredible

There is a German Touring Car race at the old ring called:
" The Nrnburgring 1000 km "
Yes 1000 and not 100 :-)
It's a bit like Le Mans, but the Le Mans circuit is not impressive...
