F1RC - Lack of throttle

by David Kar » Thu, 12 Apr 2001 09:28:24

Hi folks,

Well, I just got the game and everything seems to be working well, but I
don't seem to get full throttle.

I trundle along at 140 mph while everyone zooms on by.

I don't think this is a wing/gearing thing, because I get the same result
with a very shallow downforce configuration.

Any suggestions?

[ Logitech Wingman FF (old, nice version) ]

cheers,
David

PS  I've posted this at High Gear also

It's probably due to the clumsy calibrating in F1RC:
Recalibrate your pedals and notice that if you press your pedals
further, the value of the axis changes (Z-Axis +, R-Axis -, etc).
Experiment and try different combinations.
(one of the effect when the pedals are not correctly calibrated, is
that the car will brake when you release the throttle pedal).

Thanks Andre--recalibrating in windows did the trick.  I probably should
have done that before posting a query.
