To all who are interested, I have been keeping check, like everyone
else on the continuing saga of GP2.  I have a friend who works in our
GAME store, and he has checked with Microprose and says that the 26th
April is still the release date.  They are also getting a few copies
on Gold CD roms, of a demo of GP2 and will be displaying it in their
shop next Tuesday/Wednesday 16th/17th, probably until the game is
released.  Hope this satisfies a few people who are still biting their
knuckles in anticipation.  Won't be long now!!  :-)

Rubbish! I contacted Micropose last Friday(11/4) and was told that the *new*
release date is June, the guy was not even specific.

And they have no plan to release any more patch for Grand Prix Manager.

Personally, I NOW don't care when the release date is, as long as they make
it good and with *very few* bugs.

The representative from Microprose at the ECTS in London today was
talking about a June release date, with Geoff not having finished
writing the code until May.  The current demo version is apparently
95% complete, and very impressive.  See my other posting for more
details.

  Hello,
Well I guess the guy at my local software store is lying. He claims that
he will have the F1GP2 game available the first week in May.
They already have a couple of the software boxes on display with would
lead me to believe that all they need to do is fill the cartons.

A lot of places have had those empty boxes for months now.  They don't mean
anything, other than that they feel it's okay to advertise products they don't
have yet.

I rang up Microprose (UK) on the 22nd April and they told me the game would not be for sale until the end of June!!! Some shops have said 26th April, others
26th May. I have a feeling we will see the second coming before GPII.
