Just tried the demo of Leadfoot and found it quite good fun, is the full
release worth buying and does anyone know if it is available in the UK yet

Gee, no-one wants to answer. ;) I will!

I bought the full version. If you like the demo you'll like the full
release. The career mode is quite good and the tracks have quite a
bit of variety and the AI can be tuned to be extremely challenging.

Unfortunately I've recently picked up Nascar 4 and Leadfoot has not
even been run since then. ;(

Cheers,
Rod.

The only thing I don't like about Leadfoot is it has that same post
nuclear-war, apocolyptic look to it that all the other RatBag racers do.

Also, like all other RatBag games, it just feels 'weird'.  When you steern
the car around a corner, it kind of feels like the car is rotating on a
determined axis, and not really going around a corner at all.  It's hard to
explain :)

It's kind of fun though, and it's cheap.  It would also be a winner for
younger folks (visiting nephews, etc...) because it doesn't take massive
amounts of skill and you can bash the shit out of things :)

Bingo! I've been trying to figure out what that feeling is. You nailed it.
Still I'm surpried I bought the game and that I'm enjoying it as much
as I do. I like to race LAN with my brother. And like DTR and DTR:
Sprints, if you race LAN it's me and my brother. No way to add
computer drivers. And a 2 person race is not that much fun.

I tried the demo and really liked it so I bought the game.

I'll have to reload SODA and compare. SODA might not even run
on an up to date machine. But I'll try it.
