Hi Bill,

i like your site, for sure, but do you really have to inform us about every
single update on your page, especially in html ?  Maybe I should inform
r.a.s. about every update on my page too ?  -just kidding ;-)

BTW, still only germans competing in my 20-Hotlap-Endurance Competition,
where are you r.a.s. guys ?

Michael...

When you work hard to add to other's enjoyment is there some harm in
promoting one's site so that others might benefit, as well? I can think of a
lot of things we could afford to lose here at RAS before Bill's unique,
frequently entertaining contributions.

I say, "Keep up the fine work, Bill, and keep those posts coming!" And I
don't know anyone that doesn't have an HTML newsreader. Yours is the first
complaint I've seen about Bill's minimalistic HTML posts.

Interesting that you chose to plug your site, while criticizing Bill for
promoting his.

Hey Jack,

did you see the ;-) ?

As i said, i like Bill's site very much ( especially since he has an new
layout... ) and it is one of my must-visits each and every day, but i don't
want to see every Webmaster posting about every single update.

If there is something really special ( like Patricks sounds or the new
Nascar Carshape from Marc Nelson ), please post the updates, but imagine
every Webmaster of every SimPage posting. "Hey, there is an new picture on
my webpage..." like Bill is doing right now...

I do an update to my page almost every day, and i do not feel to post it,
even not in the german-speeking newsgroups.

And yes, there are Newsreaders that don't read html (mine not included ),
some people killfile html-postings, but most important, html-postings are
twice as big as text-postings ( o.k. Bill's are only 2k, but there is an
unwritten rule only to post in text, not in html )

And i say "Keep up the fine work, Bill, and tell r.a.s. that you have an
mailing-list" [ to which i certainly subcribed ] :-)

Ops, I forgot to post on 12 different days in Feb, and 13 days in Jan! Why
do I post often? I've found the same questions asked over and over again in
R.A.S. Which means that many do not read down through all the posts in the
newsgroup, thankfully M.C. posts periodically summaries in answer to the
most repeated questions or comments. So I post because I have something to
say, or feel like responding to anothers post. NOT EVERYTHING I do on my
site is posted BTW. If more webmasters keep us informed about their site's
activity or lack of it our surfing time would greatly increase, because we
wouldn't have to visit and find nothing new or of interest. Today I got a
LARGE charge from Allison's post on BRM setups, the flying pig is sure to
gain more fans. I'm thinking of doing a pig logo for the steering wheel as I
have to tackle that again due to some problems with loading wheel into the
sim. But, its a tough question as to whether I should do er in pink or
purple. How many would drive their BRM with a Purple Pig with Wings?

Until Next Time:

Well, make it two then. Regardless of how "minimalistic", it is poor
etiquette to post to usenet in html. There are a very large number of folks
who do not use an html-capable news reader, and thus they get all the
jumbled tags and code, making the post harder to read.
