I have made several postings regarding my setup and I never get any
feedback as to why I feel like a redheaded stepchild for using what I do.

US more than a T2 and seems to be of much!!! better quality.  I have been
using mine for about a year and have not had to ask anyone about broken
springs or a second mortgage to pay for one.  If you are looking for a
really good for the money combo please check out the Ch Products (I bought
mine at Circuit City)

Good point!  It even has buttons on the yoke that you can use for shifting.

How do the rudder pedals work out for driving.  Seems that this would be
a little strange, but then again, I'm using my fingers for gas and brake.

CH products have always been of very high quality.  I have a Flightstick
that is
five years old and VERY used.  It is still very accurate and has never
broke.

I now drive with a TM GP1.  It's a great product when fresh out of the box,
but after
a few hours of use, its' already starting to get "loose".  IMO TM is
cutting corners
on quality.  Support, however is great.

Dave Blackburn

Hi David,

I also use this setup (with the Virtual Pilot yoke, minus the "pro" and
accompanying 4-way hat switches). I like it VERY much; excellent quality
and very durable. However, I think I know why some people have posted as
disliking it; it mounts to you're desk so that the steering wheel is
vertical rather than several degrees off-vertical. My thinking is that
if your chair/table setup is slightly misproportioned (ie. sit to high
or low for comfortable use of vertical steering wheel), the experience
may be unpleasant. Nevertheless, I enjoy mine immensely and recommend it
to anyone with a suitable seating/table environment. It seems much
better quality than Thrusmaster's products, with a reputation to support
that theory!

Good work CH!

Hi D.,

The pedals described were "CH Pedals"; they are specifically made for
racing games, unlike the "CH Pro Pedals" (I think that's the name) that
I believe you are thinking of which move like rudder pedals. The "CH
Pedals" do not slide for and aft; they rotate about a central axis
positioned close to the middle of each pedal (not exactly realistic, but
very easy to get used to). There is a switch on the floor support that
allows you to switch to "rudder" mode; pedals still move the same way,
but their motion is apparently interprated <sp?> differently.

Paul

I have used the same set up as you for over 2 years now without any
trouble at all.  It does take a little getting used to the pedals that
can move like rudders though.  I am contemplating a T2 because I don't
care for the heavy on center feel the CH give me.  However I have also
recently found that as I increase my frame rates, I get less
frustrated with the the feel of the wheel.  And hey, you can always
use the set up for flying, even though I never get around to doing
that, since any time I get, I use it for ICR2.
