What type of racing? Nascar? F1? Rally?
How much is your budget for the hardware?

Windows XP is a mere OS, it does little different in terms of controls. If
the PC either supports an USB port or a midi gameport, then I'll say
99.99999% of any kind of wheel ever done for the PC will work.
But there's no "top of the line", you know that wheels start at 20$ and can
go in the multiple thousand of dollars no?
As for racing sims, Grand Prix Legends and Nascar Racing 2002 are the best
racing sims (not games) on the market. Everybody else who says this will be
crucified by my ownself ;)
