Problem with a little twitch to the right...

by Robi » Mon, 25 Mar 2002 12:08:00

I am having a problem keeping the car running straight in all the sims I
run... GPL, N4, F1 2001. This just appeared in the last week and I think
that the problem is a "spike" just to the right of center on my classic
TSW.(that means I bought one of the first batch and just had it refurbished
last August up to latest specs.). What I am wondering is... can the "spec"
pots be cleaned with contact cleaner and compressed air or do they have to
be pulled and replaced. If they can be cleaned does anyone have any tips
that could save me some grief before I take it apart?
TIA,
Robin

That's a classic pot gone bad.  I have the vintage TSW2, and I've always
just replaced it when it does this(only twice in all that time).

Don't think they can be cleaned, but it only takes about five-ten minutes
to replace one anyway.
