Indy Car 2, DAYTONA loophole?.....

I hear all this stuff about Sega having the rights to Daytona and so
Papyrus cannot put this track into Indy 2.

Well how about making a track editor available in the game so we can
put it in ourselves!

I seem to remember F1GP had fake drivers names within the game but you
could change them to whatever you wanted.
The way every one got the correct names was by reading the manual which
contained the REAL drivers names in their repective teams.

Why dont Papyrus do something like this, have all the specs of the
track layed out in the manual in a track chapter section (do this for
all tracks) then we can put it in ourselves.

IF you STILL cant put it in the manual then put the track stats on your
WWW page, OR we ('we' being everyone) will put up track stats to be
readily loaded into the game from evryones WWW page.

You can get round it if you really want to guys, just a little extra
work!

Making a new track is more work than only constructing it. You will have
to make the model, do artwork, define a ideal line, AI behavior...
It's a lot more than you'd think about. And second, looking at the nascar
tracks, you will see that even Papyrus themselves do not have a tool that
lets them model the tracks accurately (see the curved pitlanes...).

The Indycars don't run Daytona.  Maybe you should work to get it included in Nascar
Racing instead.

I know perfectly well that there is an Indy 500 track pack for
Indycar... that wasn't the issue... the issue was whether
the Indianapolis 500 is a points giving race in the '96 season,
and I also already know the answer: NO IT ISNT

Also, Indycar's won't race in Loudon nor in Phoenix at 96.. here's
a quote from my source:

you mean Indycar?  it isnt even on the schedule.. they plan on racing at
Michigan the same time as the indy500 because the indianapolis track
owner decided amercians only like ovals and went and made a new league,
the Indy Racing League, with races in phoenix, las vegas, indy,
disneyland and new hampshire so far.   he limited only 8 fastest indycar
drivers into indy500, because he only wants IRL drivers in the race
(which will be a bunch of no names)... indycar CART is fighting back
saying people would rather watch the REAL indycar drivers at michigan
than a bunch of unkowns at indy 500 next year...

on top of that, phoenix and newhampshire is no longer in next years
indycar schedule, but they will have two new ovals, one in brazil and one
in homestead, FL.

That's it.. any comments?

Oh... and here's my periodic btw :)

btw. Miami isn't in Indycar 2 for some reason. Am i right?
btw2. Is it true that someone (Honda?) is constructing a 3 mile oval in
Japan? I heard that from an Eurosport commentator coupla months ago...
