DAMN fine site, have a look and enjoy the quality of these shots.

http://www.racesimcentral.net/

A hell of a library of 50's to 70's vintage F1, high quality shots.
Best I've ever seen. Really gives you a feel for the era.

Thanks for the link. I couldn't see any pictures from the 50's, they are
almost all 60's. Shame there are no captions, but I agree the pictures are
superb.

Agreement in both points Tony.

If we were able to identify the pictures would the site owner be up for
adding them ?

Does anyone know his e-mail as the photo of the Honda at
http://f1images.topcities.com/images/001207-004.jpg is the wrong way round
:-)

Lovely shots - but is

http://f1images.topcities.com/images/65077-20.jpg

a shot from Rouen?  It looks like Nouveau Monde in reverse.  And we thought
those backwards drivers had it all wrong... ;-)

Cheers,

Steve B.

But who is the guy in the middle here:

Our national hero on the right, and on the left, well that patch on his
suit is a clue as good as any....

Tony Brise.  Drove for Graham Hill's team, and killed in the same
plane crash as Graham.

On the left it is James Hunt, an Eddie Irvine type
of fellow off track as his patch on his suit
rightly so suggested.

The guy in the middle is Tony Brise a promising
young driver who was signed by Graham Hill's
Embassy Hill Racing Team.
Contested for ten gp's before sadly being killed
in a plane crash along with Graham Hill himself
and four others while landing in dense mist in 1975.

The Swedish hero of course is Ronnie Peterson.

Agreed they are mostly 60's, but I saw a few 50's ones in there
somewhere. The site has also expanded hugely since I posted the link,
another 6 pages, plus the other ones are changed around now too.

I've tried his email address (in vague hop), but somehow I think

the photos would be great. There are many that I can pick, but heaps
that need more description :(

Thanks.
Can't say that the name rings any bells, but he looks kinda familiar.
This is a long time ago though...
