help with BRD steering

by Ian Wrigh » Mon, 02 Dec 2002 10:52:11

Hi folks,

Today the red button on my BRD sim pro stopped working - I took off the
wheel and stupidly disconnected the five wires on the circuit board (this
board
https://shop.interactiveracing.com/e-commerce/viewproduct.asp?Product... )
Yes I'm an idiot!

If anyone could tell me the combination and/or has any ideas why the button
would suddenly stop working, I'd greatly appreciate it.  I ask the newsgroup
as it's the weekend and I can't wait until Monday to phone BRD!

well I know one thing now, the button stopped working because one of the
wires simply snapped inside the wheel.

I still need to know the combination...

erm, ive got 6 wires on mine.

looking at it with the frontside away from us, (so you can see the 2 small
microswitches that the paddles operate), top line left to right is as
follows: brown, white, red, notused.

bottom line is: yellow, black, green, not used.

hope that helps!

gosh Pez thanks so much for helping out, it seems ours is different as I
have a straight line of 5 pins, red green yellow brown black.  I'll fix the
wire
that snapped and try to get hold of BRD on Monday, thanks again.

Heyy Ian

As you connect the wires it's yellow, red, black, brown and green from
left to right (ehh, looking from the back side of the wheel). Just put
in a new pot in the wheel a week ago and I also got nice instructions
from BRD along with the pot... so there ya go, hope you get it
working!

Ian

I had the same problem with wires. I spoke to BRD and it appears that there
are ump*** different wiring schemes depending on when it was made. I'm
afraid you'll have to wait to talk to BRD ;-((
