revive the Internet Winston Cup Championship project.
The ICRNAS series went extremely well, proving that there is indeed a
market for a NASCAR simulation series. At the end of the series, which
saw an incredible surprise finish, all the drivers unanimously clamored
for a new series.
Well, the promised IWCC is currently under development. During the past
couple of months since the final race of ICRNAS, I have been
consolidating my Internet resources. A casualty of the consolidation has
been the America Online direct support, but on the bright side I have
secured the services of WebCom Communications in offering spectacular
driver support. Among the new series features are:
1) World Wide Web support via an IWCC home page
2) Online application form to compete in IWCC (via WWW)
3) FTP directories dedicated SPECIFICALLY to the series (also available
via WWW)
4) A mailing list to complement the WWW information database, complete
with file support
The series rules are also under development, pending the release of the
simulation. However, old ICRNAS hands will find little different in the
running of IWCC from the old series.
In a couple of days, the new mailing list will be open for discussion of
the series and information. Among the topics will be the idea of IBGN
(Internet Busch Grand National) which would be an IROC style series of
shorter races and fixed car setups. I will post the address when it is
available.
If you have any questions, let me know.
