Anyone know of a sim featuring Silverstone's Stowe circuit? This is a 0.8
mile (or so) mini-circuit (just 5 corners!) situated inside the F1/South
circuits... I'm going to be driving there in a Formula First in January <g>
and quite fancy blasting round on the computer first....

Cheers

I believe SCGT (Sports Car GT) has Stowe but I could be wrong. If it isn't
that then it might be TOCA (Touring Cars). I'm sure I've "virtually" driven
Stowe.

TOCA is not the Stowe circuit - it uses the top half
with the GP Start/Finish Line.

I did the Ferrari Driving Experience at Silverstone Stowe
and was a bit disappointed that it wasn't the bit I'd
driven in the TOCA games.  It's good fun, though - you
do get to do the Hanger Straight (but the instructors
keep you in the higher gears to prevent you getting into
too much trouble ie going too fast).

Stowe is no featured in any game to the bext of my knowledge.

(yes, it's the small track with no relation to the GP circuit).

I have raced twice on the Stowe circuit in Formula Fords, but I have not seen
it in any sim. Its a very easy circuit to learn, just watch make sure you don't
go into West corner too fast, slightly downhill and sharpens, and watch the
runway markings in the wet, can be quite ***, especially the '00' symbol
right in the braking area....

Good luck!

TOCA2 has it IIRC.

Actually, the TOCA2 Version is the "international" circuit. The national
circuit goes directly from maggots to brooklands.

Where does that leave the "Club" Circuit then?

Cheers Rob. I can't find any mention of Stowe for SCGT (there's a
loooong SCGT track list at www.speedsims.com/jps and Stowe ain't on
it). Can't find much info about TOCA though - anyone have a link to a
TOCA add-ons site?

Alternatively I was wondering if any sim has a Silverstone track that
actually has the Stowe circuit included on the infield?

Isn't that the one which doesn't even make it to Becketts/Maggots?

Club & national are differing names for the same circuit layout.

I think the national circuit is in TOCA (1), from my memory of it on the
playstation.

not that that helps re- stowe.  Looks simple enough any GPL track meisters
want to knock it up in a day or two?  Set up an FV? and that'd be about
right for a FFord?

cheers

I think it'd be simpler to set it up in GP2 or GP3.

The circuit you will be driving on in a Formula First will
be the South circuit (URL below) not the Stowe circuit as
it is too short and boring.  It is call "Stowe" because that
is the name of the driving "complex" down there, but you
will be driving the South part of the GP circuit.
