Aaargh, all popups and broken links. I use the Google's image department:
http://www.google.com/imghp?hl=en

You can do an advanced search, where you can enter 'wallpaper sized'. Or you
can use the desired resolution as part of the search data. For example, do a
search for: "ferrari 1024" (you'll see what I mean)

Also try http://www.supercars.net and http://www.speedycars.net
Very good GT40 concept pics on the latter.
