My Thrustmaster T1 Steering Wheel makes a funny click (when the wheel centers,
or passes the center). Anyone knows how to remove this annoying feature.

Buy a better wheel!  ;-)  Seriously, though, T1's will always develop
this problem the way they are engineered.  There are two possible
causes that I know of.  The bungee chord that acts as the centering
spring may have stretched out.  You can remove the tie wraps that hold
it down, stretch it taut again, and replace the tie wraps to tighten
it back up.  Another potential cause is if the plastic piece that
connects the wheel/bungee/potentiometer together has begun to deform.
It seems that this piece is next to impossible to replace without
destroying the potentiometer.  Thrustmaster sent me an entire new
steering assembly when mine did this (before I sold it and got a TSW).
Next to the pedal springs breaking, this steering center dead spot or
click is the second most often reported T1 problem that I've heard.

According to the Web page for Thrustmaster you should be able to go inside the
wheel
and trim off the clear plastic sleeves that are over two screws. They claim
this is causing the
rubbing. It seems that the "clicking" on my wheel has gone away with time.

that happened to me, and I wound up putting two lock-nut/screws in the 2
center holes under the steering wheel.  Worked mucho better!
