You do have the CD in the drive don't you :-)

Seriously though,

What else have you loaded on your pc lately? Have you changed drivers? Or
upgraded to DX 7.0 (not 7.0A, that one is the one that fixed the bugs with
7.0!)

What has changed on your system since the last time you ran N3 successfully
?

Hope that helps

  Yes more info.
does N3 work offline?  Have you added any unofficial tracks?  Changed
anything....did it work previously?
can't really tell ya right off.  The only suggestion, IF everything was
alright before, would be to totally reboot your system and try again.

Chances are you either have a corrupt .car file or your .cal file's
screwed up.  I'd recommend reinstalling it.

Can you post the contents of your "debug.txt" file after the crash to the
desktop to this forum? That should tell us exactly where it's failing...

I had it nock me out of the program a couple of times the other night too.  It
may have been the race I tried to join...not sure...but I don't use 3dfx though
I doubt it had anythind to do with the graphics setting anyway.  It was my
first try after installing Daytona.  Did get it going & haven't actually used
the daytona online yet....come to think of it I might have been tryina daytona
and perhaps the track didn't match the online host....

sorry just rambling.....
