  try an IRP like line, 2 apex per turn and much higher than u might
first think

You can find my setups for the BGN tracks at www.theuspits.com .  These
setups have all beaten 100% opponent AI and most are within a whisker of
track records.  Remember individual driving styles will affect your overall
speeds.  Hope they help out.

I've painted a couple cars so here's some rules.  #1 Never load the N2 palette
into the car.pcx file.  #2 Never resize or
resample a car.pcx file.  Do use a decal template and load it for 16M colors
before resampling.  Using Resampling instaed of
resizing normally produces a better graphic.  Then load the N2 palette into the
resampled picture before pasting it onto the
car.pcx file.  The hood pic in general I resample to about 60.  Can't help with
the screech, I mostly just paint the cars with the
occasional spin around Michigan at over 187mph.
