Warez is everywhere, like it or not. I have mized feelings about it
myself... bad for the software companies financially, but then again, some
companies dont deserve a red cent for the poor products they have been
releasing. And in all seriousness, how many warez copies of a title do you
think get downloaded? A very small percentage to what is actually sold. The
everage Joe consumer doesnt know about warez or where to even start to get
warez. I would say the Quake games are the most warez'd products and
Id-Software shows no sign of faltering finacially.
But, most warez groups actually plead with the downloader to purchase the
software if they like it and plan on using it regularly. Even they would
prefer the companies get their money in the long run.
: Is that what is taking place in the binaries group? I checked out the www
: site for Mitchell on Demand, and that how much this 13 CD set costs. I
: suppose it is not too much for a professional app.

: Just asking... it feels weird to have software snatching going on so
: close to 'home' (yup, r.a.s. is my fav and most oft visited newsgroup).

: P.s., I know warez'ing must be going on all around me on the net, but I
: don't go looking for it and rarely see it. Outta sight, outta mind.
