My worst fear is that Sierra will "dumb-down" N3 due to people
complaining that GPL is too hard.

GPL is NOT NOT NOT too hard.  It is perfection.
Sure it has steep hardware demands, sure you have to actually pay
attention when you are driving but some of us LOVE the concentration
it takes to make a race car go.  GPL does an excellent job at
simulating that.

If you think GPL is too hard because you are used to Sega's Daytona USA
then don't slam GPL, just tell the truth: it is too hard for YOU not
everyone else.

I agree with you!  I don't think it is too hard at all.  It is hard to be
great, but jumping in and just driving this sim. has been the easiest for me
to date because it is so realistic.  The lack of any fiddling with
controller settings is up to Papyrus' usual high standards for these things.

Marc.

Hopefully the game press will spend enough time with it to know the joy.  I
think they will, because it doesn't take much time to even scratch the
surface.

I'm more concerned that N3 will have the same damage model!  I sure
hope they make it more realstic.
Also, won't the frame rate in N3 be worse?  Not only will there be
more AI drivers, but won't the cars have a higher poloygon count?

Some day we will have that in a sim!  I've been wanting it since my
1st spin in Nascar1.  I would guess it would put a load on the CPU
though.  Still, they could only model a few major compoents.  (or even
just tires)

Yeah, I have a feeling it isn't going to be pretty. :(
