Works like a charm. Very clear, crisp images with excellent color. I
can't see any ghosting of any kind. I run Nr2003, F1C, F12002 and mods
and GPL mainly. Also NetKar and LFS as of late. Got mine for $326 with
some shrewd coupon use and a 25% discount (Dell daily special) and 0%
interest for 6mo. This was about 5 months ago, so YMMV. If the same
"FP" series monitor was available at more reasonable price with the
1600x1200 res, I'd go for that. It was about $1000 when I got the
FP1800.

I have the FP2000, the 20" 1600x1200 LCD you mention.  Absolutely fantastic,
especially if you have a DVI compatible video card - I am using a AT Radeon
9000.  It is _perfect_ for vehicle and flight simulations.

I'll second that.  I also have the FP2000 and it is absolutely amazing
for simulators.  20" of pure LCD *** goodness.

Well they have the 1800fp and for $100 more there is the 1901fp. It is a 19"
lcd but the same resolution as the 18"

I can't comment on anything other than the 2000FP.  I know that the
1800FP is a Samsung.  I checked it out before buying the 2000.  The 1800
has a bit more ghosting and streaking when there's side to side
action.  Not an issue with driving sims since the action tends to come
towards you.  I'd recommend checking out the 'Audio/Visual' forum here:

There is the monster of all LCD threads along with good info on most
brands of LCD monitors.  I would recommend an LCD monitor for sims, just
don't know about the 1800.  I highly recommend that you use a DVI
connection between videocard and monitor.
