Hi Bill,

Thank you for your comments.  We have a T1 here which we are able to use...
did you try recalibrating? Give us a call and we can walk you thru it --
800.Ubi Soft.  As far as the latency issue I don't have a good answer for
you.  I have seen it played via the modem and it is bit slow.  I'll
forward
the latency issue to our developers and see what they see.  Perhaps there
is something they can do (i.e. patch).  Check our web site periodically for
updates or e-mail us back.  When I find out something I will e-mail you
 back.

Thanks,
Chris

Hello All.
I have been playing POD for a week now and Enjoy it for the most part.
Im running a P-166, Rendition card, and a Monster 3D. Smooth as silk!!
Awesome
Graphics, With the 3DFX anyway.
Saw Just the MMX version in the store, Looked like regular SVGA to me.
MMX seems to be a real nice gimmick for Intel. IMO.
Anyway the cars could handle much better, In terms of realism but it is a
Arcade
Game. Still kind of crappy though.
A***pit would of been nice.
Cannot get my CH Foot pedals to work with my T1 or Virtual Pilot.
The music is always the same and there is no option to change it.
AAAHHHH!!!!!
I cannot seem to kill myself of other cars no matter how hard I try.
The damage Indicator seems to do nothing as I get it all in the Red and I
still race the same and never die. Indestructable cars it would seem.
SUCKS!!
The AI is real stupid.
But the worst thing is the SHITTY multiplay!!
Hooked up to a friend in modem mode really sucked. All the other cars seem
to just JERK around the track, Appear and disappear. You can not line up a
car to hit him cause he is there one second, and Jerked, Chopped off the
next!!
Really sucks bad. The worst.

So UBISOFT, You got almost a Complete winner here, Are you going to fix the
game
up some or pull a Microprose?
Your "Precalculated position engineering" Seems to make Latency worse.

Thankyou for your time, and listening to my\our critisism.

Perhaps at this point it is, as little to no software takes advange of it
(Pod does get a nice speed increase and a little better graphics than
software).  Wait for Epic's Unreal, and you'll see the potential of MMX.

This game has been heldup for quite a long time Eric, But Im looking
forward to it
as well. I know that you are a Big Quake Fan as am I.
I think Unreal may be out about the same time as Quake2, speculation..
Pod was suppose to be all MMX ready, but things get better.
As far as I have learned so far the only real benefit of MMX is the extra
cache.
A P-215 you might say. But I am more interested in the K5 right now.
Do you have PoD?..And If so what do you think of it?

What is your nickname on QW, Love to Gib you sometime : )
