Hello my fellow 3dfx/autosimmers, I was checking back up on
some old links and discovered ABC updated their "Road To Indy" web site.
First off it looks like we will be seeing a DEMO of this sharp looking
game. Secondly, if you look at the 'Making the game' link on the site
you will see 3 small new screenshots of this sim which I will say IMHO,
LOOKS OUTSTANDING!!! The graphics look really, really sharp!

This first link is a small review of Road To Indy from PC Games OnLine
.. http://www.racesimcentral.net/

This second link is 'Where it's all at baby!' ABC's -  Road To Indy site

 http://www.racesimcentral.net/

Remember, their page is not quit finished but when it is it'll be sharp.
One other thing, the game was reviewed with a P200/M3D so warm up that
accelerator!

When you play the game, make sure there are no loaded pistols
at hand...

Why do you say that Marc? I did hear from a few people that saw the
game and the frame rate was terrible. Is this what yoiu are refereing
to? I mean, lets HOPE that since then they have corrected the problem.

I wouldn't have too much problems with the game, if it weren't for
the poor gameplay - System requirements are bound to go through
the roof over the next few years, but there needs to be something
besides pretty graphic effects to keep me interested.

ABC's new game has the beginings of a nice physics model, and
probably has some of the coolest graphics of any racing title so far,
but they over-extended themselves when creating the cars (over
1000 polys for each!!), and missed the boat on other important items
(such as AI - they stink; damage-model - what damage-model??).

I only hope that they learn from some of these mistakes, and they
(and Bethesda) not throw in the towel - we need these companies
to continue developing, testing, and breaking NEW ground in sim
racing.  =)

Cheers!

Ehhhh Maaaaaarc, care to elaborate on that buddy? Do I detect the
faintest whiff of impending disappointment...?
