I have decided, after searching dejanews for past articles, that the guilomot
ferrari wheel is the one to buy.  But I would like to know from those who own
them is this, since Guilimot is the company that bought Thrusmaster and
everyone is unhappy with the new service, how is your service with the Ferrari
wheel?
Thanks
Mike

I had an Logitech wheel without ff, but id broked, so I got the money back
(about $93)
Now I am thinking of buying the guillemot wheel with FF, for about $175.
(1500 Swedish crowns)
So..what do you think?
Is it worth it?!

Before you go off the deep end with Guillemots wheel, let me tell that I and
a friend have both returned them due to very poor quality.

The pedals may be slightly better than the Logitech but they are very close
together.

I now have a Logitech FF wheel and have been surprised how quickly I got
used to the pedals. The wheel itself is a million times better than the
Guillemot offering.

In all the reviews I have seen the Ferrari wheel has been chosen ahead of the
Logitech as far as workmanship, pedals and FF.  The logitech FF is very weak in
comparison to the Ferrari and Act-Labs FF.

I can assure you that the Guillemot FF wheel is cheap and *** in
comparison, the pedals are hardly better, being very close together, and the
forces are adjustable. In fact the forces on the LWFF give a much better
feel because they are that much gentler. We are not looking for Playstation
vibro pads that shake a little in time with the music here.

In SCGT the LWFF gives no sensation of force going down a straight but you
try to steer too hard into a corner or hit those rumble strips and then
you'll know what forces are all about.

If you want a real FF wheel then wait until PDPI bring theirs out or the
company who made the F1 Racing Sim wheel.

There really is no comparison between the plastic Ferrari wheel and the
throbbing red monster...........

I would rather have the software companies implement good FF.
Some games really suck on all FF wheels.

I'm not sure which Ferrari wheel you are referring to, but my Guillemot
FF wheel has a nice *** feel to it, it really feels great. I would say
as great as the Logitech wheel. I can't comment on the FF action of
both wheels, as I only have tried the Guillemot one.

I have decided to keep the Act-Labs,  there is no comparison with the Logitech
and Ferrari wheels.  I have tried all three and I am going to keep the ACT-LABS
as this thing feels real nice.
