The graphics in the Xbox version are among the best graphics you'll find
anywhere.  The handling is pretty dodgy though - even compared to an arcade
rally game like Colin McRae 2.  If the graphics in the PC version match the
Xbox, it will set new standards for PC racing games....that in itself can't be a
bad thing.

I am currently attempting to beta-test this game. I have never tried the
X-Box version. I can say the graphics are very good for the few courses that
I have raced . I am trying to get the game to cooperate with my computer.
The UI is not too bad. The car models are very good. Damage model I think is
pretty decent (the effect of damage on the car is very noticable; the
graphics representation of damage, I'm not sure about - my GeForce2 wants to
be stubborn, even with the 30.82 drivers). So far, even with the
complications that I'm having, it appears to be a very good game. There is
multiplayer support, but I have not had an opportunity to try it yet.

I really have not had an opportunity to test it as I should have. Job comes
first. ;)

Is there a***pit view in the PC version, or something similar?
Rally Masters was a great sim and I'm planning on picking this up if
it's even reasonably good/fun.

That reminds me, the other problem with RSC is that none of the views are very
good.  The bumber view is very low making it difficult to see into the distance.
The hood view is basically the same with the hood taking up half the screen(!)
and the behind view (for those that use them) is also too low meaning that your
car is in the way making it difficult to see the track.  A***pit view for the
PC version would be nice.

I found the hood view in the Xbox version quite usable, and there is
also a roof view that is not too bad.  For some reason not all the views
are active initially, you have to go into the game settings and select
the ones that you want to have available during play.  Also for people
into chase views there are several different ones available.  I normally
use the hood view in single player, because I feel it is the most
natural of the ones available, but in split screen play I usually select
the bumper cam view because, as you said, the hood takes up a lot of the
screen.  Not half, but a lot, and in split screen play you need to
retain as much visibility of the road as possible.

There is no in car view.  I don't get this.  I tried to drive my real car
from the roof and hood once.  This was very difficult to do!!   The FF is
pretty bad on my Momo.  The wheel growls so much I can't hear the directions
from the guy sitting next to me.  I can't seem to get the steering right at
all.  I gotta mess with this more, but initially I am a bit disappointed.\

No, there is no in-car view. I don't have a FF wheel. My TM Pro Dig 2 did
not want to co-operate with the game. I had to assign the throttle and brake
to the keyboard, and it ran fine, albeit with no ability to feather the gas.
The steering and shifting controls functioned fine, but I miss being able to
drive with the pedals as much as with the wheel.

I'm also having some issues with the FPS, but I think that can be attributed
to my 32meg GeForce Card. I am waiting for a some feedback from the
developer on some of these issues.

Courses too short.  Top out about 2 minutes to complete the longest
course.  Tried the Xbox version already.  Is OK for a console game.

No in-car view is enough to remove any interest I had.

When will they learn?  We do not drive sitting on our roofs!

Oh, now that's a bummer :-/
The lacking***pit-view also doesn't promise much good..
and on top of that I hear everybody complaining that the car feels too
light. Try before you buy I guess :-/
