     I don't understand it either. I had GPL before I installed F1RS
and F1RS lasted about a week before I removed it from my hard drive. I
guess the steep learning curve for GPL takes it out of the realm of
mass appeal.  It's a shame that the people a Papy haven't received the
accolades that their work on GPL deserves. I hope this doesn't
discourage them from working on "GPL, The Turbo Era" ( I can dream
can't I <G> )

I think seeing Need For Speed III and Gran Turismo in the "Best
Simulation" category says it all.  It is kinda surprising to see the
Ubisoft titles nominated as F1 sims aren't exactly mainstream titles.

Don't worry about it.

It's just like when Marissa Tomei and Cuba Gooding Jr. won Oscars.
Cuba is peddling Pepsi for shit's sake. When was the last time you saw
an Oscar winner doing that?

People are stupid, and the mainstream sucks.

You would think that they wouldnt leave GPL out because it was too
realistic.  I mean its a sim category for cryin out loud, what do they want,
an easy game?

While looking for a contact email to suggest that they include GPL as a nominee
- after all if it is in the simulation category, you would have thought that GPL
would be there before NFS3 - I noticed that Lego racers is about to go live.
This will be a must in our family.
"In Lego Racers, kids not only get to customize their own Lego race car, but
they can then put the pedal to the metal by going up against as many as five
other drivers. Twelve different racetracks are provided in the game, set within
a Castle, Town, Space, and Adventurers motif."
Hee hee - wonder what the physics are like. Do you think the customisation will
affect performance? :-)
Cheers,
Paul

Also alot of these gamer mags and sites are affiliated with only certain software
makers.Like on those demo discs you can get with thier Mags. Some have signed
exclusive rights to get thier demo's first and only and it appears that it's also
affected
thier "industry-wide" awards.I wonder what would happen if say only a certain part
of thier demographics stopped buying thier magazine.Probably why so many of them go
under or are about to go under.
