skidding car

In NASCAR racing, my car will suddenly skip (skid) to the right usually
in a turn or while passing another car. Very distracting and has resulted
in crashes. Has anyone had a similar problem or know a fix? Thanks.

Learn to drive the car better?? :)
Seriously though, it sounds like you need a better setup, one that's not
as sensitive to changes in airflow.

I started to have that kind of problems, when the potentiometer started to
get old. It developed a tendency to increase it's resistance quite suddenly
which caused my car in Indycar to suddenly turn sharply to right.
If this is the case with you (you can notice it when calibrating your
joystick/steering wheel in NAscar Racing) you'll have to replace the
potentiometer or buy a new joystick.

Mine does this too. It does it so much, that I have started to try to
predict it.

Are you using a Thrustmaster T1 by any chance? I think this might be
the reason for mine.
