Folks,

I'm usually pretty up for most OT stuff here, but I think we've gone over
the edge just a bit with the political stuff.

No one's fault.  It just happens.  The one truth is that NO ONE here will
benefit from it being here on RAS.  Period.

I think Mitch's initially good-intentioned post on memorial day was just
that, but it got taken down the wrong paths.

I say let's move on, and get this back to being a great group about
SimRacing and related things.

There ARE better places for the political chit-chat.  For reasons I'll never
be able to comprehend, alt.guitar.amplifiers has become such a group.

As always, thank you for your support :)

Quite agree Larry. Whilst it may push the postings up it is getting hard
to spot an on topic post.

I take on board Mitch's valid comment about responding to obvious trolls
- even if my response is likely to be the world's funniest joke :)

Cheers

And your contribution to RAS is what again Art?  Sitting on the sidelines
sniping at me?

Hypocrites (and riders of a Socialist Government gravy train) can be so
annoying....  Like a gnat buzzing around my face...

I wonder how the Canadian Taxpayers feel about you spending your days on
RAS?  Maybe that is your job I dont know or care...

Only two lines of work available in Canada now anyway.  Working for the Gov
or growing weed LOL...

From Outlook Express' Help menu :

To ignore a conversation
In both mail and news, you can ignore, and even hide, conversations that
don't interest you. A conversation is an original message and all its
replies.

In your Inbox or newsgroup message list, select the conversation you
wish to ignore, and on the Message menu, click Ignore Conversation.
If your message list's Watch/Ignore column is turned on, an ignore icon
will appear next to all the messages of an ignored conversation.

To hide ignored messages so they don't clutter up your message lists,
click View, point to Current View, and then select Hide Read or Ignored
Messages.
Selecting Hide Read or Ignored Messages will hide messages you have
read, messages you have ignored, and messages you have both read and
ignored.

Tip
If you want to hide ignored messages, but wish to keep your read
messages visible, click Hide Read or Ignored Messages as instructed
above, and then click View, point to Current View, and then select
Define Views. In the Define Views dialog box, click the New button. In
box 1 of the View Editor, select Where the message has been read. In box
2, click the words Show/Hide and select Show messages. In box 3, give
this view a name, and then click OK.

I just select a thread and press 'i' in Gravity. Gone gone gone gone.

Marty, Mitch...I am as guilty as anyone here for chiming in...but SHUT
UP!  Welcome both of you to my killfile.  Folks asked nicely.  Go to a
polictical newsgroup.  Right, Left, don't matter here, or shouldn't.
DRIVEL...is not a left or right issue.  PLEASE stop...for the sake of the
group.  You have zero chance of changing Mitch's POV and the same for him.
SHADDUP!  I don't know how much plainer I can be.

First sign of a ***ing troll: changes his nick slightly all the time.
