Hi there,

I finally managed to buy a computer on which GPL really flies, along
with a DSL connection. :)

Right now, I wanted to download the files on Phil Lee's "essential GPL
files" list (c/o Steve Smith), but ran into a problem: Peter
O'Connor's GPLCSM (or GPLAIM) cannot be downloaded. When I click on
the links, I get a 404.

I wrote an email to Mr. O'Connor, but maybe someone here can also tell
me an alternative download site?

Yes, a few people have posted the site which isn't the problem. The
problem is that when you go to the download link, you get an error. The
site loads fine but the dowload doesn't. This happens when you try to
download anything on the page. The download link points to
http://alex69.m4driving.sm/GPLW/Software/GPLCSMSP.zip for GPLCSM for
example, and that is the link that's bad.

Like the original poster wrote, there appears to be nowhere else on the
net that you can actually download these files, just links to Peter's
site.

I just downloaded it last week, so maybe there is a temporary problem with
the web site. I'd send it to ya, but the file is quite large (>5mb).
Hopefully, it will be up shortly.
