Anyone Help?

I recieved this from a fellow Racer, would anyone know the answer to his

Another Racer mentioned that you were runing N2 in Win 98. Maybe
you can help me with a problem. I picked up a new PC this week and have
been unable to get N2 to run on or off line. I get the intro and then
the Papy screen, then get booted back to the desktop. I phoned Sierra
support and tried several things with the tech on the phone. His best
guess was that the STB video card running VESA 3.0 was incompatible withsome
DOS games. The Dell tech seemed to agree. The STB website mentioned
this as a potential problem, and I tried all of their suggestions. Their
final suggestion was to get scitech display doctor. I did this, and now
I don't even get the intro video, just the audio. I'm starting to grasp
at straws and have even contacted TEN help. The system is running Win98,
and there are some other Win98 users out there who seem to be having
trouble. Any suggestions (other than tossing Win98)? Nascar99 runs fine
on the new PC. I have tried running N2 in DOS-mode, but that didn't work
either. I have heard from one N2 user with the same Dell PC who says he
had to install N2 in DOS. I thought that the DOS and the Win
installations did the same thing?

Hi,

This might not solve your problem, but it worked for me.  I had exactly the same
symptoms until I backed my desktop down to 16 bit High Color from 24 bit.  LOL.
