you should be working on the sim instead of wasting your time on such
trivial things!
(says Gregor who is jealous as the films here in Italy are dubbed and he
can't quite understand them yet ;) )

Is Jar-Jar ***s in it again ? If so, count me out.
CGI muppets = shit

Indeed. I made this note to some friends before reviews started coming
out saying the same. Yoda and some of the other CGI characters
outperform the actors when it comes to... acting. How's that for
underachieving.

Every character on the screen - CGI or not - is the result of human
creativity. They based Yoda on the original puppet, which was operated by a
Person. They probably used some People to flesh out some of his ***
expressions. Then the character was animated on a computer operated by a
Person. Then the voice (a Person's voice) was used to make him speak. (And
of course the CGI software was written by People).
All this chest-beating about how CGI is going to replace people is just
crap. The computer is just the TOOL. ALL the creativity behind the CGI
character is completely human, and will be for the foreseeable future. I'm
sure a lot of actors who rely purely on appearance are feeling threatened
right now, but the ones with creativity and talent will just expand into
this new arena.

And what a tool it is. Is there really any other way you could have Yoda
move around like he did before this one?
It's just soooo awesome, lol...and then he picks right back up with the fake
limp, lol...

I'm beginning to think that this generation of TV/filmgoers is simply
incapabale of distinguising between quality and nonsene anymore. When
I went to opening night of 'Star Wars' in '77, the whole audience was
buzzing and the atmosphere was electric. When they blew the Death
Star a roar went up from the crowd and the noise and e***ment
leaving the theatre was incredible. Leaving the opening of 'Clones'
last night was like filing out of a wake. If you get a chance to see
this picture, for God's sake don't do it.

When
Could it have been that YOU have changed in the interveaning 25 years?
And that your average 7 to 15 year old boy nowadays will think this is
great?
I like StarWars to take me back to being 8 and not expect it to aim
itself at the 32 year old me.

Andre
I fall into the first 20% there, btw (not that I'm a reviewer).
