Just picked up N2003 a few hours ago and have a question about tire wear.
Losing approximately 25% of tire life under hard braking. Is this
realistic or do I need to work on my driving technique?

Sound like you're locking up the wheels. Race tyres to wear very rapidly
when that happens. Not only does it wear excessively at the contact patch,
but this is also "sanded" flat by the road surface. The tyre will no longer
be round, vibrate and lose traction. This can not be modelled yet so the
wear is distributed over the entire thread which also leads to less grip.
So, no it's not entirely realistic, but the effect is similar, i.e.
accellerated wear and less grip at that corner.
