Here we go again. I stopped racing N3 and wasn't in a real hurry to get
N4 because I knew something would go wrong. I guess curiosity killed the
cat and I had to get it and can't enjoy it. I don't know what it is,
maybe cd rom drive, but maybe it is because I don't understand why they
would sell a product that would not work. Everything we know we have
tried and no success. Updated drivers, reinstalled game, reinstalled
directx, reinstalled drivers for everything and still nothing. Any help
would be greatly appreciated again. Here is what I have:

Pentium 3 450
128mb memory
Voodoo3 2000/AGP 16MB
Creative labs Sounblaster Live
CD-RW 4224

Here s what I get

I know the Kenwood thing. I bought it with Soundblaster Live. Where do I
find the manufacture?

If you bought it with the Live, then I'd guess it's a creative labs
product as
well.  If you know where the windows system manager is, check that for
a listing for your cdrom.  That should have all the info you need.
I'd also surf over to the Sierra forums at:
http://community.sierra.com/
choose the N4 group, you'll probably get a faster response from the
Papyrus tech guys there.  So far from what I can tell by reading in this
newsgroup, Some  cd rom burners have problems with the copy
protection included with N4.  If thats the case, you will have two options,
go buy a new cdrom(about $50) or return N4.  Good luck.

You can get 40x CDROMS for around $25-30 now. Get one of those and keep the
CDRW too.

Come to think of it, that's the exact reason I did NOT get Rally
Championship.
Somehow that CD won't work in my Mitsumi CD/RW. Tried two different
copies. Exchanged it for Colin McRae 1 (hey, this was a couple months
ago)

**** Post for FREE via your newsreader at post.usenet.com ****

N4 wouldn't run in my system with the mere presence of my HP 9200 SCSI
CD-ROM drive.

I had to move it to my server to get it out of the way, and then N4 would
run.
