if you wanted to buy a wheel for a person,
that would be a 'nice' wheel, by that meaning, a good wheel
and a good value, what would you choose.
Not looking for the absolute #1 super duper full time racing wheel,
but also do not want a piece of trash either.
And about what would you should expect to pay for the one you recommend.

thanks.

Logitech Wingman Formula GP Racing Wheel is a nice starter wheel, and would
make a very reasonable Christmas present for a starting racer. It is on sale
this week at Office Depot East Coast USA for $29.99 after instant rebates
and mail in rebate.
Check your weekly newspaper flyer.

Or this place http://store.yahoo.com/justdeals/  has remanufactured Logitech
wheels real cheap.

There are lots of things to consider like Force Feedback, USB, bungie, cables,
motors.  I currently have 3 wheels for sale - all of which got 4-5 star ratings
at my website (www.sinjinsolves.com)  Let me know if you are interested:

Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback - MINT condition in box. - $85
Microsoft Sidewinder Precision Pro (USB)  - MINT condition* - $45
NASCAR Pro Force Feedback - NEW in BOX - $85 (also works with PS2)

All wheels are in perfect working order and come with all materials.  ***
owned and used for review purposes only.

I'll also throw in any two of these games with each wheel purchased:

Breakneck
Interstate 76
Monster Truck Madness 2
Motor City Online (includes first month free)
NFS 3: Hot Pursuit
Rollcage
Ultimate Race Pro
Viper Racing
XCar

First come - first serve on the games.  I only have one copy of each.  All games
are original store-bought retail copies - no CDR's.

* sorry - no original box with this wheel - but I promise to package it very
nicely.
