Throttle/Brake Response

by Data » Thu, 26 Feb 1998 04:00:00

I'm playing NASCAR2 and I love the throttle response, especially the
wheel spin action.  My problem is I can't just tap the brake...it acts
like Im putting a lot of pressure on (not locking them up though).  Like
I want to go into a corner and just letting off the gas isnt enough,
but  touching the brakes really slows me down.  Is there a was to make
the brakes more/less sensitive to this?  I'd love to be able to keep the
gas down and tap the brakes to slow down too, but that doesnt work
either.  Any help is appreciated.  By the way, I've got a GP1 - Pro
Pedals setup.

Thanks.

Throttle/Brake Response

I really think this is in your pedals or your calibration.  If you
calibrate the full travel of your brake - I can't see this happening.   I
built a custom wheel but stuck with the T2 pedals and I don't have any
problems just lightly touching the brake.  I did wire the brake and throttle
to a seperate joystick axis so I can stay on the gas and tap the brake at
the same time - but I didn't notice this to have much effect.
