CMR2: What's wrong with the controls?

Okay, I figured out how to map the throttle/brakes to keyboard, and the
rest to joystick. However, the settings won't stick. The throttle/brakes
got
unmapped next time I start the game. I have to remap it every time.

Any one know what I'm talking about? Does the patch fix this? Should I
install the patch?

Also, is there a way to save the replay?

I don't know of a way to save a replay, but if you create a driver profile &
assign your controls to it, each time you load the game select that profile
& your settings should be remembered.

It remembers my joystick and other controls, but the two things I set to
keyboard gets UNSET whenever I exit. When I come back in they become
"blank" unassigned. Weird, heh?

Check that none of the files are read-only. Can you map them to your
controller & see if it stick then?

Files are NOT read-only. I even renamed the old ones and setup the
whole thing again, same thing. If all controls are mapped to stick, it
works.
It just doesn't want to work with some to Joystick and some to keyboard.

I haven't played it for more than a year, but when I did I couldn't use my
pedals with it because it only supported one controller per driver. You may
have just found the same limitation, but at least you have a solution, Just
assign everything to one controller ;-)
