World Championship
Rules
The Little Formula Racing Series is a armchair driver fantasy
league
involving drivers from around the world. LFRS is oriented around
MicroProse's
World Ciruit(a.k.a. F1GP). Competitors use WC to run the races, then
submit
times to be compared with other drivers. Points are awarded to each
driver
based on their performance, and at the end of the season, the driver who
has
accumulated the most points will win the LFRS World Championship. The
series
is taylored to fit drivers of all different backgrounds and interests.
The
following are the rules for LFRS. All the information concerning the
series
should be found here. If you have any questions, please contact one of
the
directors.

number. Drivers who compete on two levels will have the
same number in both levels. You will be offically entered
in the championship once you receive your number.
9.4-Teams: Drivers are encouraged to form teams. Teams may
consist
of no more than two cars per level.
10-Championships
10.1-Drivers Title: The Championship will be determined by
points.
The IndyCar point system will be
used(20,16,14,12,10,8,6,5,
4,3,2,1). There will be one point for the fastest
qualifier
(fastest practice lap for Beginner and Challenge
divisions)
and one point for the fastest race lap.
10.2-Team Title: The team title will be determined by points. A
unqiue point system will be used(1st-30,2nd-27,3rd-25,
4th-23,5th-22,6th-21...26th and lower-1).
10.2.1-Two-Car teams: Two car teams will receive points
for both cars.
10.3-FastLap Title: There will be a special FastLap title to the
driver who runs the fastest laps during the season.
10.3.1-How it works: The fast qualifying/practice and
race
laps for each driver at every track will be
entered
into the FASTLAP Record Keeper written by Pedro
Sander (It can be found in the Simulation Auto
Library). In this program, points are given to
each
driver based on their lap time, the faster lap
getting more points. The driver accumulating the
most points during the season will win the FastLap
title. There will separate competitions for each
level.
11-Driving
11.1-Rules of the road: "Wall braking", skipping chicanes or any
other turn in an effort to gain time is strictly illegal,
and warrants a 20 second penalty. If, however, your are
FORCED to miss a turn(i.e. being hit by another car,
braked
to late), no action will be taken.
11.2-Restarts: Drivers may use 'Quick Race' mode to do any
practice
starts or races. Restarting your offical race is
forbidden.
Due to the long length of the races, drivers will most
likely need to save their race. Drivers may not reload
their race after an accident.
12-Rule Changes: These rules may, and will, change for the better of the
series. All changes are effective immediately after being
announced unless otherwise stated.
13-Most Importantly: The most important thing for LF1 is that your have
fun. This is just a friendly competition of drivers across the
world. There is no prize for winning the championship, except
gradification and fun. I hope everyone will be good sports and
enjoy themselves.
