T1 Wheel - The Shifter Sux ! Suggestions ?

by G. Aldric » Thu, 20 Jul 1995 04:00:00

I just purchased a Formula T1 wheel from ThrustMaster.
I like it very much, sure beats the hell out of using a stick.

The Shifter ( If you really want to call it that ) is a joke !!!!

Can you use this thing to shift through the gears in Indy or Nascar ???
Has anyone sucessfully achieved this feat ?

Any suggestions ???? Your comments are welcome.

TIA

Agreed. It is a very worthwile investment.

That, unfortunately, is also the truth. I have blown the engine more times than I know.
I would up using the two buttons as shift up and shift down to avoid those false shifts.
Also trying to find a way to modify the pedals so they are actually separate. Right now,
they are both on the same axis, which, when you just want a little brake, there is no way
to do it without lifting off the gas and getting the back end loose.  Later. -Mark

Why not do what I did and put 2 push buttons on the steering wheel and
change like the F1 pro's.
