I built my own pedal set for use with the Logitech Momo. When I put the pots from the Momo into my freshly minted pedals, I only got readings for about 1/3 rotation of the pot, but my new rig has increased pot travel to about 120 degrees rotation. So the rest was all dead. Worse, on the brake, I did not have any of the "old" range in my new range of rotation, so there was no brake movement at all. I don't know what causes this (ie., whether the Logi pots have only a short carbon strip or whether it is some other problem -- because the pots from my old T2 that worked in the LWFF did not work with the Momo) but here is what solved the problem... I replaced the pots with 100K Radio Shack linear taper pots. They work just fine (and for purposes of experimentation) cost less than $2.00 US. Now I have full range of travel on both pedals. I will probably replace these pots with some high precision (conductive plastic with ball bearings, or some such) in the near future.
We tried replacing with 250K pots as well and it seemed to work fine. Perhaps your correct in that the momo pots are only short strips internally. "Bruce Millar" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...
