Ok, I did a silly thing.
I thought I'd try out the komplett update (gplpack2) at
http://www.gametool.de/toolgpl.htm
I backed up my gpl folder first. It worked great, but no real improvement on
what I already had and I noticed that in the Best Laps screen there was no
name displayed for the Monaco line. So thinking maybe something else was
wrong that I hadn't noticed, I re-instated my original files, but, in a
blond moment, did it by cut and paste over the top of the bad installation,
instead of copying and pasting. Duh!
Of course, there is still no name displayed for Monza... !
Any suggestions what file this comes from, please, so I can grab it from the
original CD.
(Rule 1: Back up before making changes
Rule 2: If it goes wrong, get advice before experimentally making it
worse...)
