Hi folks, some of the modellers and add-on artists among us might be interested to hear that the Blender foundation managed to raise 100,000 Euros of donations that NaN Technologies were asking and will soon release the 3d modelling application Blender as open source. More news & dates can be had here: http://www.blender3d.com/ Cheers, uwe -- mail replies to Uwe at schuerkamp dot de ( yahoo address is spambox) Uwe Schuerkamp //////////////////////////// http://www.schuerkamp.de/ Herford, Germany \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ (52.0N/8.5E) GPG Fingerprint: 2E 13 20 22 9A 3F 63 7F 67 6F E9 B1 A8 36 A4 61

Yes, there are good news. Anyway, I have a problem. I used Blender on Windows NT without problems. Now, trying under XP, it exits immediately after starting. The effect is the same with compatibility mode. Do you know if Blender is supposed to correctly work with XP? Regards Socius

My guess would be though that a patch for XP will be out 48 hours after the public release of the source ;-) all the best, uwe -- mail replies to Uwe at schuerkamp dot de ( yahoo address is spambox) Uwe Schuerkamp //////////////////////////// http://www.schuerkamp.de/ Herford, Germany \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ (52.0N/8.5E) GPG Fingerprint: 2E 13 20 22 9A 3F 63 7F 67 6F E9 B1 A8 36 A4 61
