Microsoft sidewinder wheel (non FF) - squeaky accelerator pedal. Anyone had this problem and resolved it? TIA.

I opened up the pedals and lubricated them... it helped only for a while, but then again I used bicycle chain oil =) Maybe some sort of vaseline would do a better job. -- - Igor -
Try spray silicone. It isn't 'wet' and doesn't pick up dirt and whatever like other oils. Graphite powder is good too, but it's damned messy and could end up on your carpets. -Larry "Jussi 'Igor' Koukku" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

Did you open the footpedals to spray the stuff in? I had difficulty trying to open my pedals. I removed the screws but it still wouldn't come apart easily, and i didn't want to break it. How much force can I use? ( this post somewhat delayed as I replied to sender rather than to the group - doh - and John Bull didn't seem be a valid e-mail address)

How much force can I use? doesn't need much force at all, but you do first have to remove the screws that are hidden in recessed holes under the silver sticker.......
